Needler danger map
Creature Enamel does not have a direct marker layer in this check. This preview shows Needler Shark markers so you can plan danger awareness near the route lead.
Creature Enamel is the material that turns ordinary Glass into Enameled Glass. The current site data shows Enameled Glass as a Fabrication Station recipe that uses 1 Glass and 1 Creature Enamel, then feeds several mid-game crafts, including Tadpole Depth Module Mk. 1, Tadpole Haul Chassis, Bioscanner, Feedback Resonator, and Strike Armor.
Route lead
The current route lead points to the Alien Ruins area. Community guide coverage describes Creature Enamel as pale, stick-like material on black mineral deposits around that biome, with a richer cluster roughly southeast of the Alien Ruins research base.
Treat that as a scouting lead until you verify it in your build. Before leaving, bring the Sonic Resonator, enough oxygen margin for a bad turn, and a clear return path to your Tadpole or nearby safe point. If Needlers are patrolling the route, scout first and harvest only after you know where you can retreat.
How to craft Enameled Glass
Once you have Creature Enamel, check the Fabrication Station for Enameled Glass. The current recipe data is:
- 1 Glass
- 1 Creature Enamel
If you still need Glass, make it through the normal Quartz recipe or the Salt-to-Glass path if that is already unlocked in your save. Do not spend the last piece of Creature Enamel on a low-priority craft if a vehicle depth or tool upgrade is the real blocker.
What to craft first
Use Enameled Glass on the craft that unlocks the next practical move:
- Tadpole Depth Module Mk. 1, if depth is blocking safer exploration.
- Tadpole Haul Chassis, if storage or hauling capacity is your current bottleneck.
- Bioscanner, if scanning progress is holding up your next discoveries.
- Feedback Resonator, if the upgraded tool is needed for your next route or objective.
- Strike Armor, if creature contact is making vehicle travel unreliable.
This order is a planning shortcut. If your current objective calls for a specific Enameled Glass craft, solve that objective first.
What to verify before relying on the route
The site has not verified the Alien Ruins pickup route in-game yet. Before treating this as a repeatable farming path, check:
- Whether the deposit appears in the same place in your current build.
- Whether the Sonic Resonator is required for every Creature Enamel deposit.
- Whether the harvest point is easy to hit or needs a specific angle.
- Whether Needler behavior or nearby hazards changed after a patch.
- Whether Creature Enamel respawns after collection.
Quick checklist
- Craft or bring the Sonic Resonator.
- Prepare Glass or enough Quartz/Salt to make Glass afterward.
- Scout the Alien Ruins route lead with the Tadpole close enough for retreat.
- Watch for Needlers before stopping at black mineral deposits.
- Harvest Creature Enamel only after you have a clear return path.
- Craft Enameled Glass at the Fabrication Station.
- Spend the first Enameled Glass on the progression craft that removes your current blocker.
Sources and current limits
Recipe and crafting-use guidance comes from local item and blueprint data. The Alien Ruins pickup route is based on community guide coverage and still needs current-build verification by this site. This page does not confirm exact coordinates, fastest route, respawn behavior, or universal harvest behavior yet.
